Main areas and type of activity

Liverpool Hope University College has over 5,500 students registered on undergraduate degree level courses, with approximately 1000 of these training to be teachers. Additionally there are almost 750 students registered for full-time or part-time postgraduate courses. Liverpool Hope also offers many other academic subject areas, including large, successful Geography, Environmental Studies and Information Management and Communications departments.

The IER deliver university diplomas ("double diploma") as part of the Universite Jean Moulin, Lyon 3 and of the University of Savoie. They provide courses in 'Ingenierie de l'espace rural' - 'Rural Resources Management'. They work with a wide range of European organisations to develop courses and work placements for their students.

The University has over 20,000 students registered, with a teaching staff of over 1400. The main areas of activity include undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in most subjects areas, including, Medicine, the Pure and applied Sciences, Geography, Law, Social Sciences, Art and Music.

The Department of Geography at the University of Bucharest has been involved in a number of activities in EU programmes: These include considerable bilateral collaboration with the Co-ordinating institute for the past six years, organising exchanges of staff and students and an annual academic Geography Colloquium.

The FSC tutors over 72,000 students a year on field course activities at field centres throughout the UK. It is a registered charity, with a teaching staff of over 270 (fte). The main areas of activity include providing facilities for schools, colleges and universities to undertake fieldwork studies in relatively remote areas throughout the UK. Adult courses are also very popular. The FSC also provides specialised In-Service Training for teachers and lecturers.
