This natural colour image is of The Queen Charlotte Mountains, British Columbia and was taken on October 1995 using a Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM), Bands 1 to 3. Analysis this image and see if you can answer the following questions.

1 How can you tell that the land reaches very high elevations?

What do you think is the dominant land cover in this area?
3 Can you identify evidence of mass movemnt within the mountain range?
4 On what facing slopes do the majority of the snow patches occur? Why is this?
5 What sort of shoreline is present in the area? Sandy or Rocky?
6 What do the white tones around the coast line represent?
