Notes for Contributors

The reviewing process

Articles submitted to the journal are subject to the following review procedure:

  • Review by the editorial panel in terms of general suitability for the journal.
  • Selected articles are then subject to a double blind review process.
  • Articles are then accepted, revised or rejected on the basis of the recommendations of reviewers.
  • Revised articles are reviewed by the editor, although in some cases they may be referred back to the original reviewer.

Copyright

In accordance with copyright law, the manuscript must not duplicate substantial portions of previously published material. Permission to reproduce copyright material must be obtained by the authors before submission and any acknowledgments should be included in the submission. Acknowledgment of source and copyright should be given in cases where photographs, data and media are reproduced.

Editorial policy is the responsibility of the Editorial Panel. Authors' opinions should be regarded as their own. Articles must be previously unpublished and if accepted will be published in the eJournal's World Wide Web site.

Author(s) and Author(s) affliation
The following format is required for author name(s): first name, extra initials and last name. Add after each name of an author the e-mail address (if available) and the contact address (including the URL of the homepage of your organisation/institution).

You should provide a list of headings which will help to build hyperlinks to the specific subsections of your article.  We recommend only one level of headings. The list of headings should not be numbered
The main body of the article
For each heading, you should elaborate the content (text) and add other types of information supporting the text (e.g., pictures, video, etc.). Whenever you refer to other types of information that you provide as an additional file, please put this information between brackets.
References

Acknowledgements
List acknowledgements at the end of your article (before the references).

Figure and table captions

At the end of your article (after the references), you should include, on a separate page, a list of any figures and tables cited within the text. This list should contain the full caption of each figure and table.

Issues of language

The authors are responsible for presenting the article in good English or French, and the abstract in both English and French. Ask native speakers or colleagues to check your article in this perspective. Consider the international audience when choosing your terminology. Specialised topics and terms should be considered carefully to prevent loosing the attention of your audience. Authors are responsible for proof-reading the original article (including the abstract in the other language).

Note: A Romanian summary of the article will be added by the editor of the journal. The editor will accept no responsibility for the accuracy of this summary. This Romanian summary is necessary to reflect the dimension of the editorial panel of the journal.

Length

We recommend an article size of 3000-5000 words. This includes tables, illustrations, references, etc.

Additional text requirements

Format and style: Articles should be submitted in 12 point Times New Roman font using double-spacing, with any original illustrations. This format must be used throughout, including for notes and references cited. A4-size papers are required, as is an unjustified right side. Please number the pages. Papers may be submitted in either UK or US English provided usage is consistent. Final publication will be in UK English. It will be assumed that the authors will keep an exact copy of the article submitted.

Abbreviations can be used within the text according to internationally accepted conventions.

Notations should conform to international usage.

Footnotes should not be used.

Endnotes should be numbered consecutively within the text and listed after the references.

Tables and Illustrations

Tables must be double-spaced on a separate page, numbered consecutively, and titled at the top. All table columns should have explanatory headings. Tables should not repeat data that are available elsewhere in the paper (e.g. in graphs).

Table notes – use letters to indicate notes and list each letter on its own line.

Illustrations: All maps, diagrams and photographs should be designated as Figures, cited consecutively in the text, and must be of professional quality.

Non-textual data-types in your contribution

Other kinds of information to support the text can be submitted (e.g. pictures, video files etc.). We ask you to send them as separate files, attached to your submission of your article. Consider using well established data formats such as:

Pictures
GIF, BMP or JPEG
Video
MPEG
Applications
EXE, or specific format

Take care that the 'reader' of your article possesses the drivers necessary to look or run uncommon data-types. When the driver is uncommon, give indications where 'readers' can download drivers or viewers. Put this information [between brackets]; e.g., FTP-sites, an URL, e-mail addresses to contact suppliers, etc.
