View NW from SE corner (base of Idwal Slabs) of Cwm Idwal over Llyn Idwal to the largest moraines in Cwm Idwal on the west lake shore. Three mound sub-sets can be seen: i) to R on the east shore, mounds comprising of bedrock roche moutonee and bedrock-cored, debris covered mounds, ii) to L on the west shore, a lower cluster of "hummocky" lakeside moraine mounds and, iii) to L on the west shore, a prominent lateral moraine ridge behind the lakeside mounds. Rock cliffs and scree slopes of W wall of cwm can be seen behind the mounds. Flat area in the foreground represents an infilled part of Llyn Idwal.
