View SE from Cwm Idwal (near outlet stream of Llyn Idwal) to Gribin facet. Truncated spur feature of Gribin facet showing the gradual erosion of the spur from a steep ridge to a flat-lying area. Ridge was eroded prior to, and during, the last glacial maximum (late Devensian) by ice flowing along the valley of Llyn Ogwen and down Nant Ffrancon. Ice movement from top L to bottom R. Background shows the ridge and peak of Glyder Fach (994m).
