		Looking SW towards Twll Du from floor of Cwm Idwal. Cwm excavated along the core of syncline fold of Lower Palaeozoic rocks {syncline can be seen in backwall of the cirque (cwm)}. Twll Du is the notch above the rockfall (probably formed as a result of the rockfall). Steep backwall with rockfall, scree and debris flows. Foreground Llyn Idwal. Between base of rockfall and lake can be seen mounds of moraine - "hummocky moraine" and lateral moraine mounds.
